mini.align: Is this alignment pattern possible?

I saw someone aligning Verilog code in the way show below, and I tried to achieve this behavior with mini.align without sucess. Is it possible?
The pattern aligns something like this:

  wire [NB_COUNTER-1 : 0] limitMux;
  reg  counter;
  reg  valid;

into this:

  wire [NB_COUNTER-1 : 0] limitMux;
  reg                      counter;
  reg                        valid;

So it's somehow using full justification. It's not my style, I just saw someone that does it by hand.

If the goal is full justification (like in "make each line span same width with words spread equally inside it"), then I don't think it is possible with 'mini.align'. It is designed to align "per column" with column defined as "something between separators".
