Plugin emits warning for list items in footnotes

• My request is about the Tasks plugin for Obsidian.

⚠️ Check that this issue hasn't been reported before.

• I searched previous Tasks plugin Bug Reports didn't find any similar reports.

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch sandbox vault and install tasks plugin
2. Create a new file
3. Paste this into the new file: [^1]: - this is a bullet

Expected Behavior

The task plugin should not emit a warning. I personally would be fine if lists/tasks in footnotes were ignored by the plugin, but I'll leave that up to you.

Current behaviour

The task plugin emits a warning in the developer console: [2025-07-12-10:11:43.947][warn][tasks.Cache] Unexpected failure to create a list item from line: [^1]: - this is a bullet in file: Untitled.md

Thank you for logging this.
That’s a very old version of Tasks, but this - or a similar message - is still emitted by the current version.
