Description
The current RT system (rt.sh) eventually requires some improvements, whether at the UFS coastal level or UFS-WM level. This is just a placeholder for now to discuss what would be the ideal/feasible functionality for the UFS Coastal community.
handling of new baseline creation
Currently, user can request new baselines be created. For the "official" RT for code updates (run by @uturuncoglu), here is how this is handled:
- If we are expecting answer change due to the update in the component like we did in SCHISM last time (nws = 2 -> nws = 4) and also ROMS (they updated bulk formula) then yes I am creating baseline for them.
- Sometimes there is no answer change but the files that are checked by RTs have more variables (such as mediator history file if you add more variables to exchange - no need to exchange or connect all of them but they still available through the mediator history files).
- Sometimes this is dangerous since you are expecting answer change and something broken -- this is one possible avenue for improving the RT system
