notebook testing

• when needed, add assertion statements to notebooks
  • e.g. some notebooks have "expected error messages", such as the steps 5, 6 and 7 of the basic data analysis notebook
  • Add logic/assertions to make sure these error messages are appearing
• replicate the SDK notebook testing workflow in the samples repository
