Comming back to this old PR (that I forgot to follow up), the changes have been running in WLCG for a while already so things should be more or less fine.

Few things to have into consideration as they may break running deployments:

• Configuration file has now some extra properties (protocol and wlcg)
• The WLCG producer and type are configurable and need to be specified in the config file
• Having the logs in the same folder had some issues while running in docker, so I moved them to a "logs" directory

Please let me know any comments you might have on this :)

Hi Borja. There's some conflicts with this pull request (it has been a while since it was created). If you can resolve the conflicts, I would be happy to merge this.

Hey Derek, missed the comment, I'm adapting it to the new changes but will wait to push things here until we sort out the current situation with the backlog (as probably caused by some of my changes :D)
