Modeling of surface and surface architectural complexes

hi everyone, I would like to do a numerical simulation of the seismic motion of a surface building complex. How can I better complete this modeling process? Why can't the .stl format surface file in the Mount_StHelens example be stretched? I just want to stretch some buildings for testing.
