Describe the enhancement
Default user and browser settings That Follow the User, no matter if using an app or browser.
Profile > General settings and User settings & Browser settings
Use cases
In the update of 2025.08 there were changes to the user UI and settings as the “Theme” and “Dashboard” default got reverted back to default. It broke the settings for users and they didn’t understand what have happened and how to fix it.
Also when getting a new device and login to the app the first time you have to know what to do. It should be simple, no matter where you login.
The HA have to become more user and admin friendly. This should never happen unless it is a big major change.
Visual examples
Config Person should have the Default User and Browser settings that is located in Profile > General settings

Profile > General settings
Anything else?
Default user and browser settings should 'Follow the User' no matter if are using an app or browser.
It's time to take Home Assistant to the next level and away from the “only for tech-savvy” people. Or at least make it easier for us who admin HA for our family and friends.
