I personally know someone with 50 acres of land all covered with one lan. Would be very useful in the hypothical situation. |

LAN can be good for poor wifi network based chatting, and can for sure increase range and mesh networking capabilities. |

Ive long waited for a chat or messenger app that can function over a lan for several reasons. One being that not everywhere has the internet, secondly, some times the internet can go down or related servers. I dont see how LAN capability doesnt immediately fit the profile of this app. It there some technical obstruction? What am i missing?
