[pdm new] command seems not release yet , but document is the newest

I'm a new pdm user and I'm trying to follow the pdm documentation step by step to familiarize myself with the use of pdm,
but I'm a little confused by the fact that when I use the pdm new command,
the fact that the version of pdm that contains this command hasn't been released yet, but the documentation has already been updated, might not be very newbie friendly.

I just lost time to this as well. Any chance we could either get release/pre-release docs or some kind of "as-of-version" in the docs?

The "latest" points to the pre-release docs and stable points to the released docs

Is it possible to use the stable version as the default version?
Because the version installed by the user according to the documentation is the stable version.
