go-appimage is pretty much abandoned and doesn't support DWARFS appimages (which soarpkgs has a ton of) even though someone made a PR adding support for it, probono hasn't bothered to merge it.

Ah okay, thought they were dependencies of appimage. And figured soar probably bundled them. Does their installation conflict with soar at all, in case someone has both installed?

Soar installs everything in it's own directory and desktop/icon files are suffixed with -soar so it doesn't conflict with anything..
