I'm pleased to announce the availability of PML version 2.0.0.
This is an important milestone in the evolution of PML. Not because of the few features that have been added in version 2, but because internally PML now uses the new pXML parser. As PML is now totally compatible with pXML, it will soon be possible to:
This lays the foundation for exciting new use cases and automation scenarios. Just a few practical examples:
Another advantage of PML 2.0 is that new pXML features will be automatically available in PML too. Some examples of planned pXML features: create standalone documents, insert markup code retrieved from a URL, use OS environment variables to parameterize PML markup code, etc.
Please have a look at file CHANGELOG.txt to see what else has changed in version 2.
Note: The PML repositories have all been updated. The pXML repositories will be updated in the coming days.
