Ignore titling for certain windows

Pop-shell has a feature to exclude certain windows from automatic tiling by their title or class. Is there similar functionality in Cosmic? I'm trying to implement a dropdown terminal like I have in Gnome with tdrop but it gets tiled whenever the window opens.

Yes, but it isn't easily accessible right now or documented. (We plan to add this to the tiling applet though).

This isn't working for me. I'm using tdrop to spawn a kitty window which specifies a class a window title of dropdown:

tdrop -a kitty --title dropdown --class dropdown

This is what I have:

    title: "dropdown",
  )
]

And the window doesn't get floated.

I think I figured this out. Took me a lot of digging. But the file should be:

~/.config/cosmic/com.system76.CosmicSettings.WindowRules/v1/tiling_exception_custom

The linked issue above has exceptions (plural) which the DE doesn't recognize. I also had to add the enabled: true field to get it to parse correctly.
