Cosmic Media Player fails to load correctly-named .srt subtitle file #135

@rrodrigues338-hue

Description

@rrodrigues338-hue

Environment:

Operating System: Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS alpha

Desktop Environment: COSMIC

Media Player: Cosmic Media Player (pre-release version)

Steps to Reproduce:

Place a video file (e.g., video.mp4) and a corresponding subtitle file (video.srt) in the same directory.

Ensure the filenames are an exact match except for the extension.

Open the video file with the Cosmic Media Player.

Expected Behavior:
The Cosmic Media Player should automatically detect and display the subtitles from the .srt file.

Actual Behavior:
The subtitles are not displayed, and there is no option within the player's interface to manually load the subtitle file.

Additional Information:

The .srt file is not corrupted; it works correctly when the video is played using mpv or VLC.

The issue appears to be with the Cosmic Media Player's handling of correctly-named soft subtitle files, not with the files themselves.
