Workspace thumbnails rendering in the overview bug

It seems there is a bug with workspace thumbnails (previews) rendering in the Overview. When I pin a few workspaces in the overview on Display 2 (workspace 4 has windows, 5 and 6 are empty), then unplug this display, the workspaces move to Display 1 and the tumbnails appear there (I still have an overview open). If I then plug Display 2 back, the thumbnails disappear from Display 1 but don't appear on Display 2 except for Workspace 4 and then Workspace 4 shows as empty even though it has a window open. The window is not shown either on the small thumbnail nor in the main window area.

I may be experiencing something similar - are you still able to scroll between the workspaces whose thumbnails are no longer appearing?

Several issues have been fixed in the latest cosmic-comp and cosmic-workspaces with workspace thumbnails not showing or showing incorrectly.

If this is still an issue anywhere, it would be good to have details on the hardware involved (GPUs in particular, and what GPU the outputs with the issue are connected to).

pd: could be related to #68 ?

pd2: if there is any command that I could run on the terminal in order to see any logs when I disconnect and connect the display interface (HDMI or displayport) to force this behaviour?, let me know and I'd glad to bring more info to this issue

pd4: a "workaround" that i found to deal with this situation that is less invasive that restarting the whole system is running

$ systemctl restart cosmic-greeter

if anyone knows a less invasive way to return back the thumbnails of these bug, I'd appreciate to know it

in this version looks like is solved, I'll do more tests over the next days and confirm back later
