Question: Is this supposed to work with Canvas apps?

Extension works perfectly with model drive apps, but when I try with a Canvas App, I get the level up menu as shown below rather then the extension interface. Is this by design? I haven't found anything that says that this is for model driven apps only but it appears to be the case

No, this only works for MDAs. If you have a feature you'd like for canvas apps, maybe you can submit it and someone can work on it?
