Eclipse p2 repository doesn't properly indicate recent versions

Currently, if you look at the available version in p2, the 2.1 snapshot from 2012/03/24 shows before the 2.1 RC5 from 2012/05/23.

Not sure if it the same issue, I was trying to consume 2.2.1 but couldn't. It seems that even though the 2.2.1 jars are there, the p2 metadata only knows about 2.2.0 artifacts.

And not sure if it is related to this issue either or just an Eclipse PDE bug, but also, my application ends up with random 2.2.0 versions being picked up (milestone builds, snapshot builds). Specifying a specific 2.2.0.v... release version results in resolution errors (not sure why - they seem to be ok in the artifacts.jar).

Could you try again with Eclipse version including the fix?

@jlouvel The fix is going to address my secondary issue only, right? (unpredictable resolution when multiple bundles satisfy a requirement)

That fix in Eclipse won't help though with 2.2.1 not being available in the P2 repository, even though the JARs are there - the problem is that the JARs were pushed but the repository metadata (artifacts.jar) doesn't contain any information about them, so they won't be found by P2. Maybe I should just open a separate issue for this? I thought it was related to your original issue, but I now think I clearly misinterpreted it.
