Please provide:

1. The verbose rustc version rustc -vV.
2. Under which environment are you running this? Native windows msvc with powershell? msys2?

Minimized version in 01mf02/jaq#183 is building the following then piping to more, I don't have access to environment to check if it repros:

fn main() {
    println!("[");
    println!("  0");
    println!("]");
}

$ rustc main.rs
$ main.exe | more

My guess would be that more, being a very old utility, requires \r\n for line endings. Whereas Rust uses \n.

Are you actually using the win7 target, or the normal windows target on windows 7 OS?

The normal windows target from Rust v1.77.2 (the last release that works on Win 7).
