I have (or had) set up the file checker with a custom version of sigcheck and the script, so I know what I have to do. Currently, this seems to be true for the user.
Now, when I install the addon "Filechecker" it gets downloaded and installed, but then one might be wondering if the addon is working out of the box or if something needs to be done and then how it is done.
A counterexample is Sbiehide, which is shown in the GUI of a sandbox and can be enabled (and disabled) there.
As far as I can tell, the file checker isn't made available at the trigger section.
Are there plans to improve this, in some way? Like when it is installed, the trigger for the file recovery suggests the usage of the installed tool. Overall it appears to be difficult as the user has to have some knowledge, since there is a reason to install the addon and then once it is enabled, it might prevent files from being recovered. (Plus making it take longer for files to be recovered.)
