Although this isn't exactly a feature request, it is the closest one I could find in the issue templates.

While adding type hints does not necessarily add any new functionality to Sherlock, it does improve the readability of the code quite significantly. If this is fine as per your code style requirements, I could work on it.

On the same note, it would also be extremely beneficial to have a STYLE-GUIDE.md file to document the accepted code style for this project, to keep everything consistent.

Closing as types are mostly added in recent versions, at least on the portion of the code that's exposed for scripted use

Some parts are incomplete but they are minor. PEP 561 compliance will come with #2277
