Signal iOS app stops receiving calls and messages

Bug description

I am using both Signal iOS app and the Desktop app. Sometimes signal calls don't go through (and only the laptop and not the phone ring) and also signal messages stop getting to the iOS app. I haven't been able to identify a pattern to explain this behaviour. This happens regularly
The solution seems to be to regularly completely quit the app and restart. Since this phone is using for an on-call system, this procedure needs to be repeteadly performed as to be sure that the bug did not strike.

Steps to reproduce

Cannot reproduce, it's beyond my control

Actual result: Signal app stops ringing for calls and receiving messages

Expected result: Signal app rings for calls and receives messages as usual

I have added two screenshots, seconds away, before and after an app restart. No new message had been received in the last 3 hours

• pre.jpg: shows the top of the conversation list. As you can see the newest message is almost 3 hours old (its 20:25, latest message from 17:39)
• post.jpg shows the top of the conversation list after an app restart. It demonstrates that messages were sent during those three hours but were not received by the app

Hi, thanks for reporting – this is pretty strange.

Can you confirm that you have notifications enabled for Signal on this device? Do other apps on this device reliably receive push notifications?

The debug logs you posted both seem pretty old and about a week apart (ending Sept 9 and Sept 16). It'd be helpful if you could capture debug logs when you next notice that the app is not receiving messages (before quitting the app), and then capture logs again after relaunching the app and seeing messages flood in.
