Lesson 5 deploying contractFactory.deploy() takes forever

Obviously my code is stuck on this line and takes forever to deploy.

Deploying, please wait ...

This happened after I changed the Ganache host to WSL, before that I got the Error: could not detect network.

Any ideas? Thank you!

Ensure that the network id in ganache is 1337.

Can you try to add the ganache network in metamask, and check if it is detecting it or not.

How do I do that?

Go to settings > Network > Add a network.
Fill the chainid, rpc url and the network name and add that.

The balance is 0, and what is weird was that although my network ID is 5777 as shown in ganache, Metamask reported to me that it picked up the chainid as 1337, which was suggested above.
