Doc file mentions Operator's installation steps in the documentation that is referencing previously removed file.

Yes.
Simple and straightforward way would be to remove reference.

But I would rather find/tune original guide.
Im studding sf-operator documentation and learning how to deploy it. May be if I figure out what doc to reference I will be able to place proper replacement or write my own guide. But that might take time.
