Yeah this is probably not the appropriate place for a rule like this. To be honest the policy repo is more of a discussion placeholder than an actual plan. The issue with all these usage convention rulesets is that it becomes a collection of opinions. The cost of moderating that is high and not something I'm willing to take on personally. I'd rather see a proliferation of community-based rulesets and then see if there's an opportunity to curate a larger set of this type of rule. |

It would be nice to prevent plan/apply if a remote backend is not configured
e.g.
terraform_backend_required
Edit: unsure if this is the right place to request this feature request. From the discussion in #22 (comment) it appears that these new types of rules may be more likely to be added in a separate
tflint-ruleset-policy
repo (not created yet) ?Our workaround for now is to use rego
