Add local logging for things like node status changes and power usage to log in external system.

Look in to adding local logging so that events can be sent off to other platforms like grafana, or influxdb. Example, each time the power metric is updated, log this so it can be picked up by telegraf and sent to influxdb. This can also be used for node status changes, node utilization, etc.
