Operator "is null" for a whole struct?

Assume the following type where foo is optional:

      hello: boolean

}

my RAQB field config looks like this:

          valueSources: ['value', 'field'],

}

How could a user add a rule for "foo is not null" and "foo is null" without checking any of the subfields?
