Once inserted Date field value cannot be deleted

Describe the bug
Date field value cannot be deleted it will become January 1, 1970

Where was the bug observed
any hosted deployment

To Reproduce
create a survey with a Date field
create a post including any Date value
open the post , delete Date value, save and check

Expected behavior
when you delete a date, the field should become empty

Is there a workaround? What is it.

in our surveys sometimes incorrect date need to be completely deleted, it took a while to realise what's messing up our data )

on the new hosted version which was released today
when creating a new record date fields are prefilled with todays date, and those impossible to delete
they need to be blank..
