Proposal for crisisbot buff. #37419
Conversation
the 7 year return (although if you want to be semantical about it the syndicate crisis robot was last updated 5 years ago actually) honestly the more I read it the more the crisis robot sounds like recycled baystation material, meant for a time where operatives were more based on waves of activity, making a move and then waiting for some dwell time to see how the crew reacts, as opposed to a New Cops arcade-game esque 13 minute time limit of the crew shuttle being called |
lube sounds like a dumb meme to me no biofoam though? |
The lube feels out of place, any buffs to it's ability to heal and protect is nice tho. |
they already have a biofoam injector that's purposefully separate from the crisis one |
I feel like a Stechtkin pistol would be a more fitting threat addition than a bottle of lube, something akin to a military doctor having a pistol sidearm. |

creatine is very unintuitive to use without reading the chem_reagents.dm, and having to use up the entire 30u in the hypo to get an effect that isn't just poisoning the guy doesn't seem the best idea |
I would say maybe combat nanobots instead of creatine, I agree it's a bit awkward to use properly or even improperly |
making it have a gigafuck melee saw like posted in the other thread sounds pretty cool i will not code this |
Updated branch to fix linters. Reviewing now |
The Nuke Ops crisisbots are woefully underperforming when compared to the blitzkrieg counterpart, a nuke ops raid is a mad rush where every second matters, so surgeries don't really happen and you can't revive ops after they suicidebomb upon death.
This PR gives them a recharging splint kit and a single spraybottle of lube and changes the chems on the crisis hypospray.
Hypospray change:
Changes the crisis hypospray chems from: Tricordrazine, Inaprovaline, Cocaine, Oxycodone and Tramadol to Doctor's Delight, Dexalin Plus, Methamphetamine, Oxycodone (unchanged), Creatine and Chloral Hydrate.
They already have a separate injector that only does biofoam, this DOES NOT TOUCH the biofoam injector.
Why these chems?
Stronger medical effects to keep the nukies fighting longer, Meth replaces Cocaine to remove the motormouth issue (which makes communication difficult), Creatine as a last stand chem for unrecoverable ops, and Chloral as a strong sedative for melee use.
The idea is turning the crisisbot into a more combat-oriented medbot, and an actual threat on close quarters, since it could slip you or chloral you to then maim you with their surgical tools.
