I am opening this issue to address some of the recent issues(#66, #65, #63, #62 and #61) and what the current situation is in regards to the development of this library. With the release of Svelte 5 and the volume of issues that have come in lately, it seems that this library is finally unusable. Honestly, I am surprised that it made it this far since the release of Svelte 5.
I started at a new job a few months back and things have been quite hectic lately. Despite my best efforts, I am not able to find time to work on personal projects at the moment, but I hope to soon change that.
I did try to start updating the library to support Svelte 5 Runes a few months back at this point (#58), but found that it was a bit more complicated than just updating a few methods. For one thing, since Svelte 5 supports both Runes and Stores, I was having a hard time coming up with a good way so that this library supports both as well.
Anyway, considering these blockers, as of now, this library might not see any updates for the foreseeable future. I originally created this library back when I was in university and somehow had a bit more free time than I do now. Since then, I like to think that I have grown quite a bit as a developer and with the recent updates to Svelte, I think a re-write of this library with proper compatibility with Svelte and Tanstack React Query needs to happen at some point in the future.
Thanks to all of you who have been using this silly little library of mine, I will still be actively monitoring this library and will be happy to review and merge any PRs that come this way. I will try to get back to updating this library soon.

@vishalbalaji thanks for the update and your effort on this library, have you seen the official tanstack-query svelte 5 branch here? Just wondering that might make it easier for you:
