Decide if we should implement Toast notifications throughout template or not

At the moment, we are importing the react-hot-toast package, using it in SettingsPage.tsx but have yet to set up the provider in App.tsx.

We should decide whether to add toast notifications throughout the app, or ditch it altogether.

@vincanger How urgent is this? It came up in the dev spring. Should we prioritize it?
