I’m a current user of Blocs (macOS only) and have been exploring Webstudio as a cross-platform alternative. I see great potential in Webstudio, but there are a few important features that would significantly enhance its usability, growth, and appeal:
1. Project Export and Import
Ability to re-import/export projects easily. (this way people can have onsite backups)
This would not only give users peace of mind over their work but also create an opportunity for a template marketplace where users can create, share, or sell custom templates.
2. Add-on (Extension) System
Blocs has a feature where the community can create add-ons like cookie banners, custom widgets, and integrations.
Webstudio could benefit from a similar system to allow third-party developers to extend functionality, further enriching the ecosystem.
3. Asset Manager Improvements
The asset manager should allow multi-selection of assets to delete several at once.
Additionally, you could have an option to delete all unused assets would help keep projects clean.
4. UI/UX Contributions
I would be happy to assist with UI design ideas using tools like Penpot if you guys use that.
I do love that the publish option as an option to export static site. That is one of the reasons I am using webstudio and not plasmic I kind of like plasmic because the license it use and it's editor has somethings I like. But currently I think webstudio is more stable and export works. (I have not actually looked to see how clean the code is but the site works.)
Summary
Adding these features would make Webstudio more robust for professional users, enable new revenue models (templates and add-ons), and improve workflow efficiency. I believe it would also help attract many users currently limited to tools like Blocs or Webflow.
I'm excited to see Webstudio grow.

Here is a link to the mac app Also another feature I forgot to talk about that would help with efficiency to add for components to just have add button that would appear next to components when you hover over them.
