It seems like a bit of a pain to build WebKitGTK on Windows. WebKit itself seems to support Windows, but I'm not sure if WebKitGTK does.

If WebKitGTK doesn't support Windows, feel free to close this issue. If that's the case, could you refer me to any tickets/issues/docs about WebKitGTK not supporting Windows? I haven't been able to find a statement either way.

Hi @Lynnesbian , thanks for submitting this. I don't know if it will work on Windows either. CMake is cross-platform so it has that going for it. If you can get it working, we would gladly accept a PR.

Thanks @lazka that's very helpful. It sounds like WebKitGTK would require significant effort to get running on Windows and then significant ongoing maintenance (2 full time devs). I think that answers the question that WebKitGTK is out of scope of Gvsbuild. We should add this to the README and then close this.
