Common metrics to monitor GAW data

This issue is intended to compile different metrics used by WDC and try to agree on the most impactful ones.

Ideas:

• N° of files archived.
• N° of downloads.
• N° of visits to the site.
• N° of stations regularly contributing.
• N° of requests solved.

Dear colleagues,

please have a look at the ACTRIS data metrics:

The list there isn't completely updated, it lacks a metric for data production. For that purpose, we are going to use:

• variable year submission rate
• variable year curation rate

The # of requests solved metric can be solved in a straight forward way by taking into use a help desk and ticket system. Most of these offer this metric out of the box.
